Sleepover Fest 2025

Co - Founder • Booking Agent • Promoter

Overview

Sleepover Fest began as an idea from a friend about a year before the event came to life. Sleepover Fest was created to celebrate Atlanta's local music community, with femme and female-fronted bands at the forefront of the lineup. Alongside live performances, the event featured local artists and vendors, showcasing the creativity and talent that make Atlanta's music scene so unique.
Rather than functioning as a traditional commercial festival, the event was designed to be an accessible, community-driven experience that fostered connection between artists, musicians, vendors, and attendees.

My Role

I led the project from start to finish, including:✷ Researched and vetted local venues
✷Booking and confirming performers
✷ Recruiting local art vendors
✷ Artist communication and advancing
✷ Supporting day-of operations
✷Social media marketing
✷ Coordinating event logistics, including promoting the event and selling tickets through Partiful.
✷Managing the event timeline

Challenges

Like most independent events, Sleepover Fest required balancing creative goals with limited resources. Some of the biggest challenges included:✷Coordinating multiple artists' schedules
✷Managing communication across performers and vendors
✷Promoting the event with a limited budget
✷Keeping production organized while wearing multiple hats
✷Ensuring appropriate safety measures were in place during the late-summer heat
These challenges strengthened my skills in project management, communication, and problem-solving.

What I Learned

Sleepover Fest reinforced the importance of:✷Clear communication
✷Organization
✷Adaptability
✷Community building
✷Creative leadership
The experience strengthened my confidence in leading projects from concept through execution while collaborating with artists, venues, and local businesses.
